SQL management tools

ORA SQL – Connect to SQL Server with Oracle SQL Developer

 
Follow these steps to setup the connection:

1== Download SQL Developer from Oracle web site (latest version)

        http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/downloads/index.html

2== Extract SQL Developer software to C:\Program Files\Oracle

3== Download JDBC driver for SQL Server Pluggin (jtds) from Sourceforge web site (latest version)

        http://sourceforge.net/projects/jtds/files/jtds/

4== Unzip jtds-x.x.x-dist.zip

        We will use 2 files: .\jtds-x.x.x.jar and .\x64\SSO\ntlmauth.dll

5== Copy the jtds-x.x.x.jar to C:\Program Files\Oracle\sqldeveloper\jlib\

6== Copy the ntlmauth.dll to C:\Program Files\Oracle\sqldeveloper\jdk\jre\bin\

7== Start SQL Developer

 ORA SQL – Connect to SQL Server with Oracle SQL Developer_s001

8== Go to Tools > Preferences

        Expand [+] Database option and choose Third Party JDBC Drivers

        Press Add Entry

        Browse and select the file C:\Program Files\Oracle\sqldeveloper\jlib\jtds-x.x.x.jar

9== Restart SQL Developer

 ORA SQL – Connect to SQL Server with Oracle SQL Developer_s002

10== You’re ready to generate a new SQL Server connection
